A gun-toting woman and a male accomplice took over a Silver Lake bank Friday morning, ordering customers to stand still before escaping with an undisclosed sum of cash.
The robbery occurred about 9:05 a.m. at an Everett Mutual branch at 1902 110th St. SE, FBI spokeswoman Robbie Burroughs said.
The pair, both wearing stockings over their heads and baseball caps, walked into the bank and ordered customers to stand still, then approached tellers and robbed them, Burroughs said. The woman allegedly made threats and pointed a gun at people, she said. Both repeatedly warned tellers not to give them dye packs hidden in the money.
The pair were last seen running east from the bank, said Everett police Lt. Greg Lineberry.
The police-dog team conducted a second search at an apartment complex south of the bank when a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle there; however, no solid connection was found between the vehicle and the suspects, Lineberry said.
No one was hurt, and no shots were fired in the incident, which lasted about 30 seconds, he said.
