On Feb. 16, the Grammy award-winning duo Eric Tingstad. guitarist, and Nancy Rumbel, oboist, return to Arlington for the first time since the grand opening of the Byrnes Performing Arts Center in 2007.
The concerts start at 7:30 p.m. in the performing arts center, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. Tickets are $15 and are available online at brownpapertickets.com, at Flowers by George, 335 N. Olympic Ave., or at the door. The concerts are funded in part by the city’s lodging tax grant program. Proceeds support public art in Arlington.

Snohomish: Open house set for Monday
People who live in Snohomish are invited to contribute their ideas and comments for the city’s strategic plan update at an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Snohomish Library’s Multi-Purpose Room, 311 Maple Ave.
The city’s first strategic plan — “Imagine Snohomish: Promoting Vitality and Preserving Character” — was initially developed with the assistance of an advisory committee in 2006. That plan is being updated by a new advisory committee appointed by the City Council.
The purpose of Monday’s meeting is to seek comments about what’s been developed so far. People will have the opportunity to suggest new ideas.
More information regarding the strategic plan update process can be found at www.ci.snohomish.wa.us.
