Woodway: Point Wells oversight
The city of Shoreline and Snohomish County have reached an agreement to give Shoreline more say in traffic impact from development at Point Wells.
The waterfront industrial site is in unincorporated Snohomish County next to Woodway where an international real-estate company wants to build 3,000 high-rise condos. The only way to reach it is through a two-lane road in Shoreline, in King County.
The agreement, announced by Shoreline last week, specifies that the city and county will communicate regularly about potential development there. Shoreline will have a role in selecting a traffic consultant to prepare the traffic portion of an Environmental Impact Statement.
State Sen. Craig Pridemore, D-Vancouver, facilitated the agreement in place of a state bill, which was dropped.
