Lake Stevens: Report some crimes online
The Lake Stevens Police Department has launched a new online crime reporting service to make it easier for folks to report non-emergency crimes.
The service is through MyCrimeReport.us. The link also is available through the department’s website. Phones with Internet access should be able to use the site, Cmdr. Dennis Taylor said. Online reporting is appropriate for cases such as theft, vandalism, car prowls and lost property. Filing a false police report is a crime. Incidents involving weapons or damage of more than $5,000 should still go through 911.

Mukilteo: Special education offices move
The Mukilteo School District special education department is working from offices at Paine Field this year. The department moved into the space over the summer to allow for the expansion of the House I facility on the Explorer Middle School campus. When completed next year, that building will provide office space for special education, the curriculum and professional development department, the science distribution center and the Community-Based Transition Center.
The temporary special education offices are in Suite 226 at 11323 Commando Road.
