Mill Creek: Sets public hearing date

The city of Mill Creek has set a public hearing at City Hall for 6 p.m. on Thursday to consider the Crestview Village development, which is expected to subdivide three acres into 25 lots for homes on 132nd Street SE. For more information, call 425-921-5726. People may speak at the hearing or submit written comments to the city clerk by 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Mill Creek seeks parks board members

The City of Mill Creek is looking for volunteers to fill two vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. The term expires on Oct. 31, 2017. Prospective members must live in the city. Send letters of interest to Pam Olson at the city of Mill Creek, 15728 Main St., Mill Creek, WA 98012, or bring them to City Hall by 5 p.m. on Oct. 3.

Lynnwood: Ceremony for homicide victims

Everett-based Victim Support Services will host its annual ceremony on Saturday to remember murder victims, honor loved ones and raise awareness about the impact violence has on survivors and the community. Families and friends of victims are invited to bring stories, poems and pictures to share. Refreshments will be served beginning at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony will start at 10 a.m. at Martha Lake Park, 16300 E. Shore Drive, Lynnwood. Marysville: Take a class in darts

The city’s Parks and Recreation departments is offering a class in darts. Learn the lingo, games played, etiquette, tournaments, throwing, chalking and more. The class, for ages 16 and up, is Tuesdays, Oct. 7-21 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Ken Baxter Community Center, 514 Delta Ave. The cost is $39. To register go to marysvillewa.gov or call 360-363-8450.
