Arlington: Plan for property’s future
Washington State University Snohomish County Extension Agency plans to present a two-part workshop designed to help landowners plan for the future of their land.
Part one of “Ties to the Land” is set for 6 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday in Hadley Hall adjacent to the Arlington Boys &Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE.
Session two is 6 to 9:30 p.m. April 1 in Hadley Hall.

Everett: Riverfront hearing rescheduled
City officials have finished taking written comments on the Everett Riverfront Redevelopment Final Environmental Impact Statement. However, the public may still weigh in at a public hearing, rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 31 in City Council Chambers, 3002 Wetmore Ave.
The Riverfront development is a multimillion-dollar project that would bring shops and condos as well as extensive shoreline restoration to more than 200 acres next to the Snohomish River.

Everett: District sets budget meetings
The Everett School District has set a series of public meetings to discuss next year’s budget.
Three sessions from 6:30 to 8 p.m. are set for Monday in the Henry M. Jackson High School library, 1508 136th St. SE, Mill Creek; March 11 in the Eisenhower Middle School cafeteria, 10200 25th Ave SE, Everett; and March 18 in the Longfellow Annex, 3715 Oakes Ave., Everett.
There also will be a special school board comment session from 5 to 7 p.m. March 30.
The March 30 meeting, organized so that those who attend will have a chance to meet one-on-one with at least one board member, will take place in the board room of the Educational Service Center at 4730 Colby Ave.
District staff also will be available to answer questions about school finances.
Those who do not want to speak with board members will be able to leave comments in writing.
Monroe: County hosts expo, carnival
Snohomish County Parks and Recreation is hosting a recreation expo and carnival at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds on April 24 and 25.
The free, two-day event will feature exhibits on camping, fishing, landscaping, gardening, climbing and boating. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the first day, a Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. the next day.
The Funtastic Traveling Shows Carnival also will operate rides and games at the fairgrounds during the weekend expo and two days beforehand.
