Marysville: State funds low-income housing
Housing Hope has secured $7.4 million in financing from the state Housing Finance Commission to build a 50-unit apartment complex in Marysville.
The Twin Lakes Landing complex on 164th Street Northeast will use modular construction elements to cut costs and include meeting spaces for employment services, life skills classes and other services to help residents get out of poverty.
The financing was part of $67 million approved recently by the commission to build or renovate 457 affordable homes statewide, including five affordable apartment projects in the I-5 corridor between Olympia and Marysville.
The package includes a $1.2 million tax-exempt bond for the Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center in Everett, which will use it to refinance a commercial loan.
