Lake Stevens: Party planned for outgoing arts commissioner
A farewell celebration for outgoing Lake Stevens arts commissioner Susan Lind is 6:30 to 8 tonight at the Community-Senior Center, 1808 Main St.

Tobacco-fighting teens plan carnival at school
A Teens Against Tobacco Use carnival is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the commons area and gym at Cavelero Mid High School, 8220 24th St. SE.
The carnival is open to all students in the Lake Stevens School district. Planned events include games, food, Guitar Hero World Tour, T-shirt making, a cake walk and basketball.
The event is free, but some booths require tickets that cost between $1 and $3.

Snohomish County: FEMA deadline near
The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the state Emergency Management Division are reminding all Snohomish County residents who suffered damage in winter storms that the deadline for disaster assistance registration is Tuesday.
Nearly 400 people in the county have registered for aid, FEMA officials said.
People can register by calling 800-621-3362 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or by registering at www.disasterassistance.gov.
