Library to host klezmer and holiday concerts
The Everett-based band Jewbilee is scheduled to perform a program of traditional Jewish music played in a nontraditional manner at 7 tonight.
Jewbilee use a variety of instruments to create neo-klezmer music with dollops of folk, jazz and rock.
On Saturday the 20-member Mukilteo Community Orchestra, under the direction of Trevor Lutzenhiser, is scheduled to play classical and holiday music. Founded in 1998, the orchestra performs at a variety of Snohomish county venues and events.
Both events are free and open to the public. They will take place in the Mark Nesse Reading Room of the Everett Main Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave.

Symphony hold annual “Messiah” sing-along
The Everett Symphony will present Handel’s “Messiah” at 3 p.m. on Sunday at First Presbyterian Church at 2936 Rockefeller Ave. in Everett. The symphony orchestra will play as the congregation sings. It’s the ninth annual event.
