Everett: Small fire wakes neighborsEverett fire officials are searching for what they suspect is a small, slow-moving fire in the Pigeon Creek Number 2 gully, close to the View Ridge neighborhood. A neighbor in View Ridge said she was awakened by an acrid “semi-industrial” stench in the early hours of Tuesday and Wednesday.
Everett: Free legal clinic on foreclosureSnohomish County Legal Services is offering a clinic to provide free assistance to those facing foreclosure.
Attorneys and housing counselors will be on hand to discuss the foreclosure process and resources available to homeowners. Participants also can learn about how to avoid foreclosure and other options once the process has started.
Staff and volunteer attorneys will follow up with participants as needed after the event.
The clinic will be from 6-9 p.m. July 16 at 2731 Wetmore Ave., Suite 410, Everett.

Marysville: More parking at new Spray ParkMarysville is building additional parking near Comeford Park in anticipation of heavy summer crowds at the new Spray Park. Angle parking is currently available on Fifth Street, Sixth Street and Delta Avenue around the park. In addition, Berean Baptist Church (601 Delta Ave.) and the Reset Church (1410 Eighth St.) are allowing parking in their lots on non-worship days.
This week city workers are clearing a city-owned, half-acre property at Seventh Street and Delta Avenue to build a gravel lot that will hold an additional 40 cars, starting next week. Another lot to hold 20 vehicles should open by the end of July at Fifth Street and Delta Avenue south of the Flapjack Restaurant.
The Spray Park is open daily from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. through Labor Day weekend.
