For those who live in the greater Everett area, copies of the new Everett Parks and Recreation Fall Guide should appear in your newspaper today. Learn about classes, trips and events offered by the Parks Department.
Handful of Luvin’ ready to rock waterfront
Handful of Luvin’ — with its blend of experimental fiddle and rock — performs on the Everett waterfront from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The four-piece band got its start when its two founding members met in college. The band is influenced by gypsy, folk, funk, reggae and rock music.
The show is part of Everett’s Music in the Parks series, which runs through Aug. 28 with shows on various Sundays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Monroe
Antique tractor show set for Friday to Sunday
The Sky Valley Stock and Antique Tractor Club’s annual show is set for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the Frohning Farm, 1524-A Tualco Loop Road, Monroe.
A tractor parade, a threshing bee, entertainment, activities for children and food are planned. On Saturday, a set of Mexican dancing horses are set to perform at 11 a.m.
Admission is $5, but kids younger than 12 get in free. Friday is a free day for seniors and handicapped individuals.
Proceeds benefit food banks and the club’s other charity efforts.
