Originally adopted in 2006, the council’s other goals include protecting and enhancing the city’s financial health; generating economic development; reviewing and prioritizing capital infrastructure needs and implement projects; develop and implement more effective communication outreach in the community; and maintain essential public services in a cost-effective manner. The six goals are the foundation of the city’s 2009-2010 biennial budget.
