Arlington: Drug awareness event canceled: The Arlington Drug Awareness Coalition has decided to cancel today’s Out of the Shadows community event in light of ongoing relief efforts stemming from the Oso mudslide. The event had originally been set for March 26 and had been rescheduled to today after the March 22 slide.
Lynnwood: Learn how to get Pioneer Certificate: Did an ancestor arrive in the Northwest before Washington became a state in 1889? If so, you may be eligible to apply for a Washington Pioneer Certificate. Sno-Isle Genealogical Society offers a free class on how to apply, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. April 16, at its research library at 19827 Poplar Way, in Lynnwood’s Heritage Park.
