GRANITE FALLS — A nearly 10-hour standoff with police ended Saturday morning with the arrest of a 40-year-old convicted felon.
The incident began at about 6:30 p.m. Friday when someone called 911 to report that a man in a black truck threatened him with a gun in the 17000 block of 114th Place NE.
The suspect fled the area and barricaded himself inside a residence in the 500 block of Jordan Road.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team secured the area. At about 5 a.m., they entered the building and found the suspect hiding in an attic, Lt. Monte Beaton said.
He was arrested and taken to a hospital to be cleared for booking before being transported to Snohomish County Jail. He was not seriously injured, Beaton said.
