EVERETT — A man was arrested Tuesday morning after Snohomish County deputies were led on a high-speed chase along I-5 in Everett.
The suspect, 31, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of eluding police and possessing a stolen vehicle.
The chase started around 9:30 a.m.
When deputies attempted to stop a 2001 Lexus near 41st Street in Everett, the car sped southbound onto I-5, sheriff’s bureau chief Kevin Prentiss said.
It reached speeds of 90 mph.
Just north of the Highway 526 exit, the Lexus swerved across southbound lanes and struck a section of guardrail along the freeway shoulder, Prentiss said.
The car took the exit, but lost control and spun out while attempting to head westbound. A female passenger was interviewed by deputies and released at the scene.
There were no injuries, Prentiss said.
