Arrest made in fatal shooting near Oregon police station

PORTLAND, Ore. — Police have made an arrest in a fatal shooting near a suburban Portland police station.

Hillsboro police Lt. Michael Rouches said Thursday that 31-year-old Andrew Guy Moret has been charged with murder and unlawful use of a weapon.

A Hillsboro police officer walking to his patrol car early Sunday heard at least six gunshots and found Alonzo Sentel Gregg in the middle of a street. Gregg died at the scene.

Rouches says Moret and Gregg were acquaintances and detectives have yet to establish a motive.

The 34-year-old Gregg was originally from South Carolina, but lived for several years in the Portland area.
