MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — It wasn’t enough that police arrested a Brier man earlier this month after he reportedly was caught on surveillance video breaking into a Mountlake Terrace home.
On Wednesday, the same man was again in handcuffs after the same camera photographed him allegedly breaking into the same house.
Police say the man, 18, is addicted to prescription painkillers and told detectives he couldn’t stop himself from breaking the law to get his fix, Mountlake Terrace police Sgt. Doug Hansen said.
He was first arrested March 6 after police reviewed surveillance video taken in the home in the 4600 block of 224th Place SW, Hansen said.
The man was jailed and released on his own recognizance.
Then, the video camera again captured footage of the man in the home on Tuesday. Police arrested the man at his work, a Mountlake Terrace pizza restaurant.
A judge Thursday ordered him at the Snohomish County Jail held for investigation of residential burglary in lieu of $35,000 bail.
