Investigators said Monday they will conduct DNA tests on blond hair attached to duct tape that was found along Aruba’s coast to see if it came from Natalee Holloway in a possible break in the six-week-old disappearance of the Alabama woman. The tape was found at Boca Tortuga, on the opposite side of Aruba from where the 18-year-old was last seen in public, and her father expressed little hope that the find would yield an important clue.
Pakistan: London bombers visited
Three of the four British men identified as the London bombers visited Pakistan last year, two traveling together, Pakistani officials confirmed Monday. Investigators are trying to find out whether their trips were connected with planning for the July 7 attack now blamed for killing 56 people. The information adds to suspicions that the three bombers, who all grew up in or around the same neighborhood in Leeds, England, may have received instructions or assistance from militants based in Pakistan and tied to al-Qaida. The four attackers blew themselves up on subway trains and a double-decker bus, according to investigators.
