EVERETT — Police are seeking help from the public to identify the person who stabbed a 14-year-old girl early Monday morning as she walked along the Interurban Trail near 112th Street SE.
The attack left the girl severely injured. She underwent surgery Monday morning at Providence Everett Medical Center’s Colby Campus and later was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she was listed in critical condition in the pediatric intensive care unit.
A witness on the trail about 6:20 a.m. saw the girl lying on the ground bleeding near the trail and a male near her. As the witnessed approached, the male ran away. Police had no other description of him.
