Lynnwood City Councilmen Loren Simmonds and Sid Roberts have declared their intentions to run for re-election.
Both have registered with the state Public Disclosure Commission as candidates.
Registration with the PDC allows candidates to raise and spend money for the coming election.
Candidates file for ballot positions May 11-15. Any position with three or more candidates will appear on the Aug. 4 primary ballot, with the top two vote getters qualifying for the Nov. 3 general-election ballot. Positions with only one or two candidates appear only on the November ballot.
Positions held by Lynnwood Councilmen Van Aubuchon and Benjamin Goodman also will appear on 2015 ballots. Neither has declared his election plans.
Lynnwood Mayor Nicola Smith, Councilwoman Ruth Ross, and Councilmen Christopher Boyer and Ian Cotton are in the middle of four-year terms.
Simmonds, the current council president, will be seeking a fifth four-year council term. He has reported raising $1,720 and spending $99.
Roberts, seeking a second term, has yet to report any fundraising or spending.
No challengers have registered intentions to run.
