EVERETT — An Everett man in his 30s was listed in stable condition Tuesday at Providence Everett Medical Center’s Colby Campus after he was stabbed multiple times at his apartment.
The attacker remains at large, Everett Police Sgt. Boyd Bryant said Tuesday night.
Police responded about 11:45 a.m. to the 9900 block of Fourth Avenue W, where the altercation occurred.
The injured man underwent surgery at the hospital.
Neighbor Chris Hasting was home for lunch and smoking a cigarette on his deck when he heard what he described as a protracted brawl, with two men fighting and furniture crashing.
"Then I heard a guy say, ‘Help, get me out of here,’" Hasting said.
"I’m moving out. I’ve already got my boxes packed. This whole place is in kind of a tough neighborhood," he said.
Both neighbors and police say the incident most likely is drug-related.
Detectives ask anyone with information on the attacker or the incident to call the Everett Police Department tip line at 257-8450.
