ARLINGTON – Police are looking for a man who attempted to car jack a woman at the Smokey Point rest area.
The woman was stopped about 5:40 p.m. Thursday when a man tried to force the door open. The man swung a gun at a window in an attempt to break it, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The woman honked her horn and the man fled.
He was seen getting into a white older model Ford with cardboard on the passenger window. The car had a Washington license plate with the possible numbers 39 or 93.
The suspect is described as a thin white man with dark-colored hair. He is thought to be in his 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 140 pounds. He was unshaven and wearing a gray colored baseball cap.
