LAKE STEVENS – No one was injured Sunday as a fire destroyed the attic of a modular home in the 4100 block of 147th Street SE near Lake Stevens.
Firefighters arrived about 4 p.m. to discover flames coming up through the roof of the home, said Fire District 8 Capt. Bruce Huston.
Two people were home at the time but got out safely.
The fire was confined to the attic of the home, Huston said. The remainder of the home sustained some water damage from the extinguishing efforts, he said.
No monetary estimate of damage was available.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation Sunday night.
