EVERETT – Everett police and the FBI are seeking the public’s help in identifying a bank robber. The woman pictured took over an Everett Mutual bank at 1902 110th St. SE on Friday morning, robbing two bank tellers before fleeing east on foot. With her was a male accomplice. Both wore nylon stockings over their heads, but officials are hoping someone may still be able to identify the woman, who was described as agitated and threatening, and who displayed a handgun.

Everett man drowns: An Everett man drowned after falling into the water off the Hat Island marina Saturday, despite efforts by onlookers to save him.
Rescue workers were called at 2:11 p.m. to help the man who had fallen into the water, said Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen.
A man in his seventies dived in and tried to save the victim but couldn’t stay under long enough to pull him out, Jorgensen said.
A private scuba diver managed to bring him up as sheriff’s divers were getting underway. Fire department medics performed CPR on the man but were unable to revive him, Jorgensen said.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Robert Duane Benson, 73, of Everett.
