MONROE – Firefighters extinguished a small fire at the Dodge dealership after the building’s alarm sounded.
The alarm came in at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday in the 16400 block of W. Main Street. Firefighters arrived to find the shop filled with smoke. The damage was contained to one room.
The fire alarm, which was installed during construction, saved the building from severe smoke and fire damage, Monroe Fire Marshal Mike Fitzgerald said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
