MONROE — A Snohomish man accused of baring himself to baristas around Monroe and Lake Stevens told police he was happy officers finally caught up with him.
The man, 20, said he was addicted to fondling himself at drive-through espresso stands, court documents show.
“Thank you for catching me. I need to stop and I can’t do it alone,” the man allegedly told police.
The suspected flasher was charged Tuesday in SnohoÂmish County Superior Court with three counts of indecent exposure. He has no previous criminal convictions.
At least seven baristas reported that the man exposed himself as he drove up to their stands beginning in February.
The weekly drive-by flashings came to an end on May 23 after the man hit two different espresso stands in Monroe.
A police officer spotted the man driving off from the second coffee bar and stopped him.
The man revealed to police that his addiction to exposing himself at coffee stands stemmed from his addiction to pornography, SnohoÂmish County deputy prosecutor Chris Dickinson wrote in court documents.
The man said he enjoyed showing off for the baristas.
“Once you start, it’s hard to stop,” he told officers.
