BELLINGHAM — Bellingham has an ordinance against barking dogs, but what about crowing roosters?
Whatcom Humane Society Executive Director Laura Clark told the city council Monday that animal control officers are getting an increasing number of noise complaints about domestic fowl.
The Bellingham Herald reports a council committee is looking at adding roosters, turkeys and peacocks to the animal noise ordinance.
Noise violators would face a fine of up to $250.
