KIRKLAND — Police arrested a driver on suspicion of drunken driving after he struck and killed a bicycle rider about 3 a.m. Thursday at an intersection in Kirkland.
Lt. Mike Murray told KING-TV the bike rider wore reflective gear and had flashing lights on his helmet and bike. The 35-year-old Bellevue man died at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was questioned at the police station and later booked.
