SILVERDALE — A Silverdale teen says she was turned away from the Central Kitsap High School senior prom because of her large chest.
Brittany Minder told KOMO she was humiliated. She wasn’t allowed into the dance until she covered her cleavage with a shawl.
She only stayed about an hour and says school officials “took the magic out of the night.” She said the gown was designed for a woman with a large bust.
The school dress code says strapless dresses are allowed as long as cleavage, midriff and lower back are covered. Staff members came up with a solution that allowed her to attend the prom.
Parents Gary and Kim Minder want a public apology from the school.
