OLYMPIA — Former President Bill Clinton will be in Washington state Monday to campaign for his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
According to a news release sent by Clinton’s campaign Friday, Bill Clinton will attend an organizing event in Spokane to encourage supporters to caucus for Hillary Clinton during the March 26 caucuses.
His visit comes a day after Bernie Sanders holds rallies in Vancouver, Seattle and Spokane.
The Clinton campaign said that additional details about the former president’s visit will be released at a later time.
There are 118 Democratic delegates at stake in Washington, with 101 to be awarded proportionally based on the results of the caucuses. The remaining 17 are technically unpledged party and elected leaders, though a majority of them — including Gov. Jay Inslee and the state’s Congressional delegation — have already said they support Clinton.
