EVERETT — A Gold Bar blogger and activist filed a recall petition Friday against Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon.
The single-page letter that Anne Block submitted to the county auditor’s office accuses Reardon of using county resources during his political campaign last year.
In Washington, a recall petition must specify improper or illegal acts in office allegedly committed by the elected official who’s the subject of the recall. It’s up to a Superior Court judge to decide whether the petition meets that standard. The judge’s decision is unrelated to whether the charges are true.
In February, county attorneys declined to process a separate recall petition against Reardon because the man who filed it lives in King County.
