EVERETT — The body of a man was recovered from the Snohomish River Tuesday after a boat owner discovered it near his boat about 10:40 a.m. near the 3800 block of Railway Avenue.
Everett police divers recovered the body at 12:30 p.m. It appeared the man had been in the river for some time, Everett police spokesman Sgt. Boyd Bryant said.
The Snohomish County medical examiner is expected to perform an autopsy to determine the man’s identity and how he died. Everett detectives are continuing their investigation.

Granite Falls: Accident victim flown to hospital
GRANITE FALLS — An 18-year-old man was taken by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after his car struck a tree at about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 17100 block of 100th Street NE.
The Granite Falls man was westbound when his Honda left the road at a high rate of speed and struck a tree, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said. The young man suffered multiple broken bones.
Bothell: Everett man injured in wreck
BOTHELL — A 33-year-old Everett man was injured in a one-vehicle accident Saturday when he drove off the roadway and into some trees, according to the State Patrol.
The man was driving a Nissan pickup southbound on I-405 about 4:40 a.m. Saturday and was exiting to Highway 527 when his vehicle left the roadway to the left, striking the trees.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was in intensive care.
