OCEAN SHORES — Police said a body found washed onto a beach Tuesday at Ocean Shores may be a 14-year-old boy who was swept away in the surf two weeks ago at Westport.
Ocean Shores police said a patrol officer spotted the body in a red swim suit near the tide line.
Chester Lee Jellesed was wearing red swim trunks on June 12 when he and a 12-year-old were caught in an undertow. The 12-year-old made it back to shore. Searchers were unable to find Jellesed. His family has been notified of the Ocean Shores discovery.
The Grays Harbor county coroner will determine identity and cause of death.
