PASCO — A body found off Highway 410 east of Enumclaw is believed to be a Pasco woman who has been missing more than a year.
KONA reports investigators from Pasco and the King County sheriff’s office found the body Saturday in a search.
Pasco police Capt. Jim Raymond says it will take some time to confirm whether the body is Tiairra Jo Garcia.
Officials believe the 19-year-old was accidentally shot in June 2008 by her boyfriend while riding in a van. Marnicus Lockhard of Pasco is accused of letting her die and dumping her body. He was charged with manslaughter.
Another man, Ashone Hollinquest, also was charged with manslaughter for his role in the case.
