MOUNT VERNON — A body was pulled from the Skagit River near downtown Mount Vernon on Thursday after a group of people sitting down to eat at the Moose Lodge saw it and alerted authorities.
The Skagit Valley Herald reported that the sex and identity of the person were not immediately known.
Police Lt. Chris Cammock said the body was turned over to the Skagit County coroner.
