Body washes ashore on Bainbridge Island

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND — Police are investigating a body that washed ashore on Bainbridge Island.

The Kitsap Sun reported that Seattle police is leading the investigation because the body could be that of a missing man from Seattle.

Bainbridge Island Police Detective Trevor Ziemba said the decomposed male body may have been in the water for two or three weeks. A passerby spotted the body on the beach Wednesday morning.
