BOISE, Idaho — A Boise State University basketball player facing a felony drive-by shooting charge has been dismissed from the team.
Coach Leon Rice announced the decision Thursday to dismiss Dezmyn Trent.
Trent was booked into the Pierce County Jail in Tacoma, Washington, at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday. He was listed on the jail’s roster Thursday afternoon as being held without bail.
Trent, a 6-foot-4 guard, played in 31 games in his two seasons at Boise State, averaging 2.9 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
