EUGENE, Ore. — A phone conversation overheard by another passenger led to a bomb scare on an Amtrak train that authorities stopped Sunday at Eugene.
Police say passengers were taken off, and one person was questioned while a bomb squad searched the train. Nothing suspicious was found.
Passengers re-boarded and the train resumed its trip north about four hours later without the passenger who was questioned. That person took a taxi from the station.
