BLAINE — Operations have returned to normal at the Peace Arch border crossing at Blaine, following Tuesday’s shooting.
The Canada Border Services Agency reopened the southbound lanes Wednesday afternoon and the northbound lanes at 8 a.m. Thursday.
Spokeswoman Faith St. John also said Officer Lori Bowcock’s condition is improving as she recovers from a neck wound.
Investigators are trying to determine why a 32-year-old tattoo artist from Seattle shot her in her booth. Andrew Michael Crews then turned the gun on himself and died at the scene.
