MILL CREEK — A 12-year-old Everett boy remained hospitalized Tuesday after nearly drowning in Martha Lake the night before.
He was listed in critical condition.
The boy was visiting the lake near Mill Creek with friends and their parents Monday night, police said. The boy apparently had been swimming without a life jacket.
About 6:30 p.m., a man saw the boy’s body under water and called 911.
The Snohomish County sheriff’s dive team pulled the boy out and began resuscitation efforts. He was found about six or eight feet under water.
He was rushed to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
