TACOMA — Pierce County prosecutors said a Bonney Lake man killed his girlfriend at their home in a fight that started over dirty dishes.
A murder charge was filed Tuesday against the 38-year-old man, Mthulisi Ndlovu.
He had reported the 42-year-old woman, Mary Mushapaidzi, failed to return home Sunday from a run. Officers found blood streaks and discovered her remains in a burn barrel at the home.
Court documents said the couple had argued Saturday night about dirty dishes. He says she struck him in the face with her purse, which threw him into a rage.
Both are natives of Zimbabwe and they had no known history of domestic violence.
The victim’s two children, ages 2 and 8, were in the home at the time.
