AUBURN — Auburn police have arrested the boyfriend of a woman accused of beating her 3-year-old daughter to death.
KOMO-TV reported that Tatiana Baker was arrested Tuesday and her boyfriend, DeMarco Jackson, was taken into custody on Friday.
Both are being held on investigation of second-degree murder. Their bails are set at $1 million.
Police responded to a 911 call Tuesday stating the girl was hot from being outside all day and was vomiting. While officers and medics were treating the girl, Baker said she had to discipline her for spitting food.
Officials say they found more than 20 marks on the girl’s body. Prosecutors say she had several fractures. They took Baker into custody.
Officials say that during interviews, Jackson changed his story about the beatings several times so he was arrested, too.
