OLYMPIA — Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Bryant has released his first TV ad in his campaign against incumbent Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee.
The one-minute ad, which shows Bryant hiking in the woods and walking at the Port of Seattle, where he previously served as commissioner, is running on network and cable television channels in all major Washington markets.
In the ad, Bryant notes Democrats have held the governor’s office for more than 30 years and says he will “bring a new perspective” and address schools and jobs in a non-partisan way.
Inslee’s campaign dismissed Bryant’s claims of nonpartisanship and noted that Bryant continues to dodge questions on whether or not he supports Donald Trump as his party’s presumptive presidential nominee.
The ad comes ahead of Washington state’s Aug. 2 primary.
