Here is how some of your tax money was spent in recent city council action:
Everett: $1.15 million to BHC Consultants LLC of Seattle for engineering and consulting services for a new landfill gas-and-groundwater collection system at a former city landfill near the Snohomish River.
$432,744 for LEDs to replace green bulbs for the city’s 169 traffic signals.
$81,777 to design a pedestrian bridge over the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe railroad tracks at Pigeon Creek. The bridge would link the fenced-in trail and waterfront picnic area with Forest Park.
Marysville: $281,000 to Otak Inc. of Everett for consulting services on the Smokey Point Master Plan, which calls for light-industrial development and road improvements in the Smokey Point area of Marysville.
$42,145 to Northend Truck Equipment Inc. of Marysville for purchase and installation of the dumping apparatus of a new dump truck.
Monroe: $732 to Drummond American Vernon Hills of Illinois for paper towels.
$1,844 to the Monroe Chamber of Commerce for parks brochures.
Snohomish: $227 to Snohomish City Councilwoman Lynn Schilaty for mileage to attend a conference.
$1,000 to Snohomish Senior Center for monthly contract fees.
