Here’s how some of your taxes were spent during recent city council actions.
Arlington: $700,000 to the state Department of Transportation to allow the state to act as the lead agency for the city to build a widened overpass at 172nd Street NE in Smokey Point.
Everett: $1.16 million for nopayroll expenses in various city departments from April 3 to April 9.
Everett: $2.62 million for payroll expenses for March.
Granite Falls: $30,000 as an interfund transfer from the city’s capital improvement fund to its current expense fund, which was running low.
Lake Stevens: $2,645 to the Bank of New York for debt service on 1992 sewer revenue bonds.
$4,000 to Jeffrey Goodwin of Edmonds for his retainer in March as city attorney.
$23,059 to Frontier Ford of Anacortes for a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria for the police department.
$3,932 to the city of Marysville for municipal court filings.
$36 to the state Department of Licensing for concealed weapons permits.
$1,020 to the state Department of Corrections for inmate work crew labor.
Marysville: $9,584 to Van Dam’s Abbey Carpets of Marysville for carpeting for the Public Safety Building remodeling.
$15,218 to the Snohomish County Treasurer for the surface water assessment on city properties for 2004.
$13,985 to Snohomish County PUD No. 1 for utilities.
$47 to Albertsons for supplies for a shooting investigation, and $402 for prisoner food.
$33,190 to Keithly Weed Graafstra and Benson Inc. of Snohomish for legal services.
Mill Creek: $300 annually to Snohomish County for maintaining the extension of North Creek Trail into McCollum Park.
$150,000 as a city match for a grant the city is applying through the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program to fund the construction of a new pedestrian and bicycle trail along Ninth Avenue SE
Monroe: $1,567 to PetroCard Systems, Inc. of Monroe for fuel for patrol vehicles.
Snohomish: $650 to Corporate Office Supplies of Arlington for office supplies.
Stanwood: $13,255 to Stanwood and Community Ambulance for ambulance services.
$229,850 to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office for this year’s first quarter of police services. The Stanwood Police Department is run by the sheriff’s office.
$177 to Stanwood Mailbox and Copy for stationery supplies.
$197 to Stanwood Hardware for hardware supplies.
