Bullets hit apartment building south of Everett

Investigators suspect it could have ties to a series of gang shootings in the Everett area.

EVERETT — No one was hurt in a drive-by shooting early Thursday at an apartment complex south of Everett, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Shots were fired around 2 a.m. at the Hangar 128 Apartments on 8th Avenue W., said Shari Ireton, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.

Bullets hit the building. Shell casings were recovered at the scene.

Detectives saw no apparent connection to a fatal shooting about two hours later, a half-mile to the northwest at the Village Green Mobile Home Park on E. Gibson Road.

Investigators suspect it could have ties to a series of gang shootings in the Everett area in recent years, Ireton said.
