BOTHELL — An interrupted burglary in Bothell last week led police to several arrests and a motel room filled with stolen goods.
About 9 a.m. March 19, a 24-year-old woman was alone at a house along 219th Place SW when she heard someone breaking in, Bothell police Capt. Denise Langford said.
The woman tried to hide in a closet, but the intruder saw her and ran out of the house, Langford said. The woman was not injured.
The investigation led police to Edmonds, where they arrested a Bothell man, 27, on Wednesday. They also went to an Edmonds-area motel along Highway 99, where they arrested a Mountlake Terrace woman, 28, and two other people.
Detectives believe items found in the motel room were stolen during burglaries, car prowls and mail thefts throughout the region, Langford said.
Detectives hope to identify the stolen property and notify victims as part of the ongoing investigation.
