A burn ban for unincorporated areas of Snohomish County is set to take effect Monday at 8 a.m.
The ban is to remain until further notice. Authorities expect to lift it only after an extended period of rain.
The restriction bans all outdoor burning, except for recreational fires. Recreational fires can be no larger than 3 feet wide and 2 feet high. They must be contained in a fire pit with no combustible material within 10 feet and a water source nearby to extinguish flames.
For updated information, call this hotline: 425-388-3508.
People who live within an incorporated city or town should check with their local fire department for current burn-ban information.
