LYNNWOOD — A Community Transit bus driver suffered a cut lip Tuesday and two juveniles were jailed after they assaulted the driver with fists and racial slurs, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.
The incident occurred about 5:45 p.m. at the Lynnwood Transit Center, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
A boy and a girl, their ages and hometowns weren’t immediately available, reportedly had an argument with the driver. The pair got off the bus, then got back on and hit the driver, Hover said.
The youths were booked into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center for investigation of third-degree assault and malicious harassment.
