EVERETT – A 44-year-old Everett man was struck by a bus in downtown Everett this evening and is expected to be flown to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
Traffic investigators with the Everett Police Department are trying to determine what happened when the man was hit by a Sound Transit bus at the intersection of Pacific and Wetmore avenues. The bus was turning left from eastbound Pacific Avenue to northbound Wetmore, according to a statement by Everett Police. The man was crossing Wetmore to the west, but it is not yet clear whether he was in the crosswalk at the time of the collision, police say.
The bus has an onboard camera and investigators are planning to review the tape. Washington State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
